Keith Washington
Celebrating The Music of Teddy Pendergrass

Philip Cooper Entertainment is thrilled to welcome the incomparable Keith Washington, a Grammy Award nominee, and male vocal sensation, for a night of classic Soul, Love Songs, and R&B as Keith celebrates the music of the legendary Teddy Pendergrass. As a soulful tenor, Keith is sure to deliver incredible renditions of Teddy’s unforgettable chart-topping love ballads and classic R&B songs. Hearing Keith’s soulful renditions of Teddy’s songs up close and personal in the intimate confines of the Catalina Jazz Club will be a remarkable evening you don’t want to miss! Teddy Pendergrass Jr stated that Keith’s performances of his father’s songs “Were the best renditions I’ve ever heard.” It’s the perfect way to end the week, so come out and enjoy a Soulful Sunday at Catalina Jazz Club. It is sure to be a LOVE TKO!

Keith Douglas Washington is an American R&B vocalist from Detroit who recorded the hit single "Kissing You" in 1991. The song was also used as background music for
the ABC television soap opera General Hospital. "Kissing You" was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best R&B Vocal Performance Male and won a 1992 Soul Train Music Award for Best R&B/Soul Single–Male. The song also topped the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart for 2 weeks. Prior to his success as a recording act, Washington earned recognition as a songwriter, co-writing Freddie Jackson's 1988 number-one R&B hit "Hey Lover". Within three years, Washington had scored a contract as a solo artist, releasing his debut album, Make Time for Love, in 1991. In addition to "Kissing You", the album featured a number of successful follow-up R&B singles.
